Meet John
Hey there everyone!!!! My name is Joe, I am a 30 year old food enthusiasts. I am trained as a costume designer and I am currently working as Fashion illustrator for an online magazine. I was born in Hartlepool which a small seaside town not far from Sunderland, and yes I am a northern boy through and through! ;-) I moved to the big city about a year and a half ago, I live in Southeast London with my partner Kubi and our wonderful dog Bruno.
Ever since I was a child I have always loved food........ eating or cooking it doesn't matter! :-) My fondest childhood memories are of all my family gathered around a big table with lots of gorgeous things to eat, with plenty of wine and laughter to :-) Since then I've always had a great passion for holding dinner parties to feed my friends and loved ones. I'm so happy to get the chance to open up my home and kitchen to new people.

The Atmosphere
I host my dinner parties in my cosy and stylish apartment in a Georgian townhouse. We are located in a quiet picturesque conservation area not far from central London. When we are lucky enough to get good weather we generally start of our evening in our beautifully secluded back garden with drinks and nipples. As it is a conservation area we are surrounded by wildlife and if you're lucky You might even get a glimpse of our friendly foxes!!! Our dinner parties are generally cosy and intimate with light music comforting food and wonderful conversation, very relaxed and easy going. ;-)
The food
Freestyle Anglo Turkish.
I've never been a strict stickler to religiously following Recipes, the dishes I cook evolve very organically using whatever ingredients I feel is appropriate at the time. My cooking skills are a mixture of techniques shown to me as a child by my mother and grandmother or things I have learnt on my extensive travels, however I did take some courses at Cordon Bleu to perfect some of my cooking skills. I have quite an emotional connection to the dishes I cook, they have have been the inspired by wonderful people that I've met or memories of childhood favourites. None of my recipes are 100% authentic Mediterranean or Traditionally English....... just good warm comforting home food. I should say that my diners are completely informal I hate serving one fiddly course after another! I like to keep things casual and relaxed, my idea of the perfect dinner party is a table filled with lots of tasty and beautiful food feast for the eyes and for the stomach! :)
