How do I change my email ?

Sign in to your account and select "Edit Profile" from the drop-down menu which is placed on the top right-hand corner of the homepage. Then select your current email address in the email address text box, and write a new email address. Afterwards select "save changes" and you’re done.

Once you changed your email address your login information will be revised and we will use the new email address to contact you.

How do I make changes in my profile?

Hosts

Can I decide whether to accept or decline a guest?

Yes. You rain. You can decide whether to confirm a booking request or not. You have 48 hours to reply to the booking request. The booking request will be automatically cancelled if you don’t get back to the guest within 48 hours.

Can I cancel an event?

Sometimes we all have to change plans. But please notify us and your guests at least 3 days beforehand. If you cancel a confirmed reservation 2 times within the same month or 5 times within a year, we reserve the right to remove you from the marketplace as a host.

How do I update my profile?

It’s very easy. Log in into your account . Select “Settings” from the drop down menu and make your changes. Don’t forget to save them!

How do I create an event?

Go to your account. Select “Create a meal” and fill in the form. Then click “Submit”. Once we approve the content, your event will become public.

How much will I be paid?

You’ll get exactly the amount you  have set per person for the event. YEATUP will publish the set price plus a total of 15% percent that includes YEATUP service fees and bank commissions.

When do I get paid?

Payments are provided through our secure payment management platform partner. In general payments are made every Wednesday. If it’s a holiday you’ll receive the payment on the first following workingday.

Can I write a review for my guests?

Yes you can. A review link will be send to guests and host right after the event has been completed.

What should be my price?

You decide on the price. Take the cost of ingredients and the time you spend into consideration. For hosts without a review we suggest not to set a price over 15 Euro per person.

How many people should I host?

It all depends on you. Go with a number of guests you feel comfortable hosting with.

Do I have to be a chef to become a host?

You can be a professional cook or just a passionate and talented amateur who loves to cook and adds their soul to the recipies. YEATUP is looking for hosts who have stories to tell and who love to meet with new people from all around the world. Your home of course needs to be suitable to organize such dinner parties.

What happens when the guest cancels?

  • • If the guest cancels the reservation less than 24 hours before the applicable event, you will be paid the full amount.
  • If the reservation is cancelled between 24 and 48 hours prior to the applicable event date, you receive 50% of the reservation amount.
  • If the reservation is cancelled  at least 48 hours prior to the applicable event date no payment will be made.

How do I create a YEATUP account?

It’s very simple. Just select the "Sign Up" button on top of the home page. You can sign up either by using your Facebook account or by and filling out the provided form.

How do I make a booking for an event?

First explore among the host and their creative menus. Once you found the host you are interested in click on the "book now" button to initiate the process. Select the total number of people you would like to reserve for and click continue. You will be asked to provide your payment information. Once you enter your payment details the total amount due will be provisioned to your credit card. When your reservation is confirmed by the host the amount due will be collected. No charges will accure if your request is not confirmed. Once your reservation request is confirmed you will be notified by an email.

Do I have to be a member of YEATUP to be able to book a seat?

Yes. To book a seat at YEATUP, you have to be a member of the community. Our hosts want to create the best homemade memories for you. So they will want to learn about you.

How can I cancel a booking/booking request?

Sometimes we all have to change plans. If you need to cancel your booking or booking request, login to your account and select “my reservations” from the drop-down menu, which is placed on the right hand corner of the homepage. Select “cancel” next to your upcoming event.  Cancellation policy is as follows:

  • If you cancel your confirmed reservation as a guest at least 48 hours prior to the applicable event date you will be reimbursed the full amount
  • If you cancel your confirmed reservation as a guest between 24 and 48 hours prior to the applicable event date, you receive 50% of the reservation amount.
  • If you cancel your confirmed reservation as a guest less than 24 hours before the applicable event, you are not eligible for a refund.

How do I review the host and other guests?

You can learn about hosts and guests by looking at their detailed profiles and read what other guests have said about them. In addition to checking their ratings and reading what others said about them, you can also use our secure messaging system to learn more about the guest or the host. Some members also check social media accounts of guests or hosts.

When and how do I make a payment?

Once you place a booking request you will be asked to provide your payment information through our secure payment system. ”Once you enter your payment details the total amount due will be provisioned to your credit card. How do I know if my request is confirmed?

You will be notified by email if the hosts confirms your booking request. A confirmation note will also be send to your YEATUP account.

What happens if the host cancels the event?

If the host cancels your booked event, you will receive a cancellation notification and email, and be refunded in full.

I have dietary restrictions or food allergies. Can I still participate to the events?

Your health is priority. Inform the host in advance about any dietary restrictions and food allergies when submitting your booking requests and ask if he/she can accommodate. Also remind your host during the event and check dish ingredients.

Can I book additional seats or can I only book for myself?

You can book additional seats for your friends and family members at an event you are participating. Choose an event. Select the total number of people you would like to reserve for and press “Book Now”. In the next step you will be asked for payment details (credit card number etc.). Once you enter your payment details the total amount due will be provisioned to your credit card. When your reservation is confirmed by the host the amount due will be collected.
If all seats are already booked send a message to your host and ask if he/she can accommodate additional guests.
